The joint venture company named PT. TMAI has started construction of the largest solar cell and panel factory in Indonesia located in the Kendal Industrial Area, Central Java.

In the development of the solar PV manufacturing business in order to support the fulfillment of TKDN of 60% according to regulations, PT PLN Indonesia Power Renewables has collaborated with Trina solar, Agra Surya Energy, and Sinarmas to invest in PT. TMAI. PT PLN Indonesia Power Renewables has effectively become a shareholder since October 16, 2023 with a share ownership portion of 25%.
